Saffron in Skincare — Traditional Uses and Benefits

Saffron (kesar) is one of the more prized ingredients in Ayurvedic skincare, traditionally associated with supporting an even, healthy-looking glow when used consistently. Its use dates back centuries, often reserved for special formulations rather than everyday remedies due to its rarity.

In skincare today, saffron is typically blended into oils or soaps rather than used on its own, allowing its properties to combine with complementary ingredients like sandalwood or almond.

Amokesha's Kumkumadi Face Oil and Haldi, Chandan & Kesar soap both include saffron as part of their traditional formulation, continuing this long-standing use in Ayurvedic beauty care.
