The Science Behind Ayurvedic Herbal Oils

Ayurvedic herbal oils work primarily through two mechanisms: the physical act of massage, which improves circulation to the scalp or skin, and the gradual absorption of plant compounds from the herbs infused into the oil base.

Unlike synthetic actives designed for a fast, targeted effect, herbal oils tend to work more broadly and slowly — supporting overall scalp or skin condition rather than addressing a single symptom in isolation.

This is why regular, patient use matters more with herbal oils than with most modern cosmetic products — the benefit builds through repetition, not a single application.
